Membership
SC PTSA is proud to announce!
142 more parents, teachers and students giving us a total of 342 members. It’s better but still down from previous years. However, it’s never too late to join the forces that bring important issues to legislation on behalf of our children and teachers to improve education here in Washington and the nation. You can find forms online through the Shorecrest HS website and click on PTSA.

Senior Ads
Dear Parents or Guardians,
The 2011-2012 Annual staff plans to include "Senior Ads" as a part of our advertising section. These ads are a great way to congratulate, honor, and remember your graduate in the 2011-2012 Loch. Please remember that these ads will be viewed in color, and that will help enhance the yearbook.
Ads often include personal statements from friends and family members (i.e., Congratulations Anne, we love you!") as well as personal pictures, (i.e. a baby or "kid" picture on one side and a senior portrait on the other).
If you are interested in scanning the photos and making a layout on your own and submitting it electronically, we ask that you follow some simple guidelines. When you give us pictures we prefer .jpeg or .tiff files with a minimum resolution of 600DPI. The pages are 9 x 11 inches (ex. 1/2 page 9 x 5.5, 1/4 page 4.5 x 5.5), if you are going to make a layout. We are also happy to help create a layout for you, just submit image(s) and text and we will make it look great!
| SIZE | PRICE |
| Full Page Ad | $175 |
| Half Page Ad | $115 |
| Quarter Page Ad | $65 |
| Eighth Page Ad | $35 |
Include your senior's picture(s) and a message and the annual staff will make the ad. If you have a preference of what you want the layout of the ad to be, include it below, if not, it will be made for you. REMEMBER: Senior Ads make excellent GRADUATION gifts, as well as HOLIDAY or BIRTHDAY gifts!

The PTSA needs your help!!
A big THANK YOU to those who stepped up to help fill the following Board Positions that were vacant and necessary to fill: Terri Marshall, PTSA Treasurer; Sherry Marlin, Grants Committee Co-Chair; Carol Worthen, VP Fundraising; Stacey Neble, REFLECTIONS. . Your volunteer efforts are appreciated!
We still have 2 ESSENTIAL positions to fill within our PTSA!
- The VP, Communications position is essential to overseeing the PTSA website updates, as well as proofreading the Scoop eNewsletter that is published monthly by our two (fabulous) editors Trudy Taylor and Denise Gangnes.
- The SC PTSA is in need of a Directory/PTSA Phone book editor. Do you have a passion for creating documents of this nature, and would love to volunteer your efforts for a short time to the SCPTSA? WE NEED YOU! Please contact Jorien Smythe at membership-1@shorecrestptsa.org for more information.
Please view the Board Contact page for other volunteer opportunities! If you are interested in being a general volunteer, please visit our volunteers page and download the volunteer form or our online application so we can contact you.

Presidents Message
WELCOME to the 2011/12 school year at Shorecrest High School!! This is going to be our best year ever and our commitment is bold. As the PTSA website grows, we continue to provide more ways for members to interact with others. Our latest addition is a PTSA photo gallery. One of our first photo albums will be the 2011 Spree event photos. Please take a moment to register for the gallery at http://www.shorecrestptsa.org/photogallery/. Registration is not required for picture viewing; only for posting of other PTSA image albums. Please allow 24-48 hours for registrations to be approved.
Our PTSA Co-President has also posted the pictures on her Picasa/Google page as an alternative which includes a slideshow feature. Visit her photo page at Picasa
Shorecrest memorialized in a book
As we look forward to a brand new Shorecrest in 2013, we wanted to make sure the old building will never be entirely forgotten. In a project that began as simply a group of photos, our SC attendance secretary (and graphic designer) Sang-Won Cho has documented the Shorecrest campus in two photo books (well, really one book, two versions). Click on the links to view and purchase the books.
The 80 page version can be found at http://www.blurb.com/my/book/detail/2272818
The 360 page version at http://www.blurb.com/my/book/detail/2272888
All proceeds go back to Shorecrest.
